But Before that, They have already revealed the New Zenfone Max 2016 Upgrade. and it is more powerful than before. Asus has upgraded the previous Zenfone Max with some upgrades including the Storage Upgrade at the top. Let’s get some detailed info about the all new upgrade in the full Asus Zenfone Max Review.
Design :
Contents
With the Huge 5000 mAh Battery, you may think that the Smartphone will be Bulky and thick in design. But, Asus has proved this wrong and instead made the Zenfone Max slimmer and thinner. It comes with the 5.2mm at its thinnest edge. The surrounding metal-like edge is stylish and smooth to the touch as well.
With the Special Feel of embossed leather, Zenfone Max looks premium in the hands as well. The New Zenfone Max weighs 202 g (with battery) and which is great considering the huge battery attached to it.
Display :
With the 5.5-Inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display with full-screen lamination, the new 2016 Zenfone Max has something interesting to show up. It really has the bigger advantage of the HD Display when playing the full HD Videos on huge screen. I Really like the overall performance of the Display that works well in sunlight. The screen is vivid and the icons appear sharp as well.
Apart from that Asus has it’s own ASUS TruVivid technology to make the display more better for the full HD experience. and this time, you will be getting the Bluelight Filter for Eye Care as well. and that’s a cool addition to note.
Performance & Features :
The New Upgrades are great in terms of Hardware. Asus have really made a good decision on increasing the Hardware Capabilities including the Storage, Ram options, and the Processor as well.
The New 2016 Asus Zenfone Max comes with the 1.5 Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. and you will be getting the two options for Ram as well. the 2 GB & 3 GB Models are now available on Flipkart at Rs.9,999 & Rs.12,999 respectively.
The New Zenfone Max comes with the Adreno 405 GPU and is quite good when playing the high graphics games and HD Videos. Apart from that, for Ram you get the two options of 2 GB or 3GB LPDDR3. Asus have really made the nice move by increasing the Storage Capacity to 32 GB as internal and support upto 64 GB MicroSD Card as well. Almost no other Smartphone maker has done this at such a low price and without decreasing the overall hardware quality. They have improved the Touch with new Fingerprint and smudge-resistant oleophobic coating as well.
Just like the HTC Sense, Asus has it’s own ASUS ZenUI as well. and they have included it’s most recent version in the Zenfone Max 2016 model which is known as ASUS ZenUI 2.0 with over 1000+ software enhancements.
Coming to the Sim Card Support, you get the Dual Sim Card options and both supports 2G/3G/4G. with the 4G LTE Support, Asus again get’s the plus one here. and not to mention that, it also has all the basic Accelerator, E-Compass,Proximity and the Ambient light sensors.
The New Zenfone Max 2016 will come with the Android 6.0 in the Box itself.
Camera :
This is the one segment where we like to review the each and every aspect because the consumers are now more Demanding when it comes to the Cameras. and for sure, no one would like to see themselves in a weird selfie Snap.
So, what’s the new model has in the Bucket ? well, it’s a 13 MP f/2.0, 5P Largan lens Laser Auto Focus (0.03 sec focusing) Dual-LED real tone flash Rear Camera. ok, that’s good but what about the main camera ( front selfie ) because the front selfie camera has already overtaken the rear one in terms of main camera of a smartphone. So, it will be a 5 MP Camera f/2.0, 85° wide-viewing angle Selfie camera.
And Trust me, this is the best in the segment at that price tag for sure. I Am really impressed with the clear snaps of both the front and rear cameras as well. Check out the snaps taken :

Battery :
This alone is enough to make sure you fall in love with this masterpiece from Asus. All thanks to the Huge 5000 mAh Battery. oh! it’s not the Battery any more, it is a Power Bank now. Yes, this again has it’s own advantages which are very useful.
You can now charge other Smartphones easily because you will be getting the huge advantage of 5000 mAh Battery and I don’t think you will be using it to it’s fullest. so, why not help your dear friends and family members by providing an extra power bank option.
One useful ASUS ZenUI app for ZenFone Max users is Power Saver, which manages and extends the battery life even more. Please note that the Power Saver app currently is updated via ASUS system updates. It will be integrated into Google Play store updates very soon.
I charged the phone two days ago, and I haven’t bothered to charge it till now. In fact, there’s still some charge left. A big Battery, and a great battery optimization is particularly important for me as I use my phone for a lot of things while traveling.
But Again, some user’s like me are too lazy to charge the phone again. so, here you have another advantage with a little twist. If users want even more battery efficiency, “Power saving” mode lets the phone make and receive calls as normal, but disables the data network when the device is asleep and re-enables it when awake. In this mode, users will still receive notifications — such as from apps like WhatsApp and Facebook — but only when the device is awake.
Final Verdict :
Overall, it could be the next Market leader in the budget smartphones segment with the new upgrades. Asus has really done the great job with this one and we hope that, they will be coming with the same awesome stuff in the upcoming Zenfone 3 Series as well. Stay tuned with TechFavicon for the further updates about the next Zenfone 3 Series Launch.Hope you like this New Asus Zenfone Max Review.
