UMIDIGI Z2 Review: UMIDIGI has recently raised the bar, creating increasingly interesting smartphones, both in terms of design and in terms of hardware and functionality.
Nothing particularly innovative, very similar to what is done by the most famous brands, but still bringing added value at prices that are always very low. This is the reason for this UMIDIGI Z2 Review.
Features And Specifications
Contents
Hardware
It has 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64 GB of internal memory expandable using the hybrid slot (and thus renouncing the second nanoSIM),
LTE connectivity up to 300 Mbps, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Also, present the FM radio. Unfortunately, even the absences are quite important: the NFC chip and the headphone audio jack are missing.
The bottleneck of the hardware of this Z2 is probably the Mediatek’s Helio P23 processor, a 2 GHz octa-core. The performance is more than adequate, although not top-of-the-range (as the RAM might suggest).
Design
UMIDIGI Z2 is built in an excellent way, definitely above the standards that the company has accustomed us in the past.
The frame is made of polished metal, while on the back we find a slightly curved glass with a good oleophobic treatment.
The smartphone is relatively compact (still in the case of smartphones large enough) and in the hands of a good feeling of quality.
UMIDIGI Z2 is also available in the color that reminds the Twilight of P20 Pro.
Display
This smartphone is equipped with a 6.2-inch display with Full HD + resolution (ie 2246 x 1080 pixels) in a 19: 9 format. It is a good IPS panel, not very bright but still enjoyable.
A strong point, especially compared to other smartphones of the same company or category is the excellent oleophobic treatment that makes sure that the screen is always clean, even after long sessions of use. On the top of the screen shows the showy notch that divides the part of the screen in two.
Camera
UMIDIGI Z2 is equipped with 4 cameras: two main and two frontal. The two main cameras are accompanied by a double LED flash.
The main camera is a 16-megapixel ƒ / 1.7 and the secondary is an 8-megapixel camera, useful for calculating the depth of field and achieving blurring. The shooting interface is extremely simple. The photos are fair and overall better than seen so far in UMIDIGI smartphones.
The focus is not very fast but it is still precise. HDR can be useful, but in many cases, it was not very accurate. Even in low light, if you have a steady hand you can still make discrete shots. Full HD videos are discrete, even if a little flickering. Not bad the dual front camera (16 + 8 megapixels) capable of making a selfie with blur effect.
Battery
Good battery 3850 mAh that guarantees a discreet autonomy even with heavy use, taking you anyway at the end of the working day.
It Supports for Fast Charging.
