Cubot P20 Review: Owning a made-in-China phone is not like it used to be. I remember people used to make a mockery about the phone’s quality during the early years Chinese manufacturers entering into the smart-phone industry.
But today everyone knows that Chinese smartphone makers are dominating the world market. 7 out of 10 top manufacturers are now coming from China. And Chinese smart-phones are no longer referred to as low-quality products. In fact, some of them are now received top recognition on quality. Not only they have quality, but the price is also affordable. Making them as first choices for those who want quality phones but would not break your bank at the same time.
One of the phone with such criteria is the newly launched CUBOT P20. It’s a mid-range latest smart-phone from the company CUBOT, who’s started to venture into the smart-phone industry since 2013. In term of a tech world that’s like a century old.
As many other brands come and go, CUBOT stands the test of very high competition in this industry. Five years is long enough for a tech company to stay and be competitive and can be announced as a veteran.
CUBOT P20 is a notch smart-phone, which is trending since iPhone X made it popular some times ago. It seems that almost every newly launched phone comes with a notch.
Features & Performance
Is it a well worth phone? Let’s check out Cubot P20 review for more details.
The phone body is plastic and therefore it feels a bit light despite its huge size. The screen display is 6.19” making it suitable to be called a tablet. The overall feel of the phone in your hand is quite decent, though not as firm ass the high-end phones.
The screen display is quite impressive and you have no problem to view it even in bright condition. That is really what you can expect for a (2160×1920) FHD+ resolution, which normally fixed on more expensive phones.
The notch is decently sensitive enough for you to swipe easily in various directions. Front camera, notification LED and ear mic are located in the notch.
Camera & Battery
Its camera performance is average but the picture quality is quite good. You can see clearly the details in the picture such as tree leaves. However moving objects appear a bit blurry.
The battery life is excellent, thanks to its 4000 mAh high-density Li-Pol installation. It has a fast charging capability and is not removable.
- It has big and bright screen and Full HD+ display.
- Build Quality is decent overall
- Performance is brisks
- Long battery life
- Huge storage – 64GB with 4GB RAM
- It uses micro USB, which is getting obsolete
- There are no Gyroscope sensor
- Cannot wake up the phone by double tapping
- Its camera and picture quality is mediocre
Conclusion And Pricing
To sum it up, at this price range you are getting a phone that performs decently well. There is little sign of lagging when you swipe through the screens and when switching the apps, but it’s not powerful enough to play heavy games. It’s just not made for games. Other than that everything seems to work quite well.
As an overall verdict, the CUBOT P20 is a decent phone with decent performance and affordable price.
