The amount of 2019 announcements is too big to obtain. That’s why at techfavicon.com we decided to figure out, which games could be really worth your anticipation. Here are the results of our picky research.
Kingdom Hearts 3
Final Fantasy creators Square Enix go mad again. This time we are going to see cross-over with such Disney universes as Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story, Tron, Hercules, Rapunzel, Monster Inc, and … everything! Let’s be fair, this world looks totally overcrowded with characters. How in the world could all these heroes meet? It’s easy to dive into a diverse world of Fortnite as it doesn’t rely on the plot so much.To get the idea of the Kingdom Hearts story, it’s obligatory to play compilations under serial numbers 1.5 and 2.5. Luckily, they come to PS4 as remasters this March. Under these titles, developers joined all the chapters of this never ending story. They understand that penetration into the plot is close to impossible without knowledge of what happened before.
The story began in 2002. Since then it has overgrown with – I’m not joking – hundreds of new characters and scenario twists. There are two paths of playing the coming chapter. The first way is to get through developments of 1.5 and 2.5 HD remix to catch the wave. If you’re not daring enough, just leave this title for those who are. They’re going to have the most memorable gaming experience of all life.
Do you know many Russian best-selling games? As GamesMojo.com chief editor Alina Burns proves, for the last 10 years worldwide recognition was gained by Cut the Rope for smartphones, online shooter War Thunder, IL-2 series, and Heroes of Might and Magic. Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light surprised critics and audience with the quality of game play, graphics and, what is much more important, the story.
The whole post-apocalypse universe is based on Dmitry Glukhovskiy book trilogy Metro 2033-2035. The two chapters of the game tell a slightly different story of the lonely guy Artyom, who was trapped in Moscow Tube with Thousand of other citizens when he was a little child. He joins a military group of his mother-station to resist nazis (heirs of Russian skinheads), outlaws and, of course, menacing mutants.
The new chapter brings Artyom to the destroyed vast of Moscow and environs. In the third book, he finds out that there are other people, who succeeded to stay alive far away from the subway. So, he heads to find them. In the game universe, the situation will develop in a much more epic way.
Predictions about Anthem are quite vague. Everything we know from the closed alpha is that it is endowed with precisely detailed next-gen graphics powered by Frostbite engine. Main gameplay mechanics are based on operating jet costumes called Jevelines. It’s still not clear how customizable they would be, but I found a unique feature in the alpha.
Costumes are very powerful, but they don’t allow a gamer to feel godlike. Flying around is restricted with temperature grades. To keep traveling, you are bound to land and chill or look for lakes and waterfalls to cool jets down on the go. The rapid switch between flying, running, and swimming makes the gameplay really versatile.
The story is what are the main questions about. Will it be exciting enough to hold attention until the coda? Will the gameplay be playable enough, or we would receive the next Destiny interbreed with Inquisition? If the answers to these questions will be satisfying, Anthem will be the first game in such a setting to succeed.
Resident Evil 2 Remake
The godfather of horrors is back with completely remade graphics and gameplay but with the same story. At GamesMojo.com we agreed that the remake trend is coming and thanks to Lord it happened to be true.
Some may argue, that there’s no sense in such games because Microsoft and EA released dozens of brand new titles. Yes, there are tons of games coming, but Capcom outshined them by simply declaring exact release dates! I hope there’s no need to add facts about Japanese quality and precision.
Developers know what they are doing, so the story is retold with many slight changes to give new goosebumps even to the most obsessed fans. Such modern features as crafting and behind-the-shoulder camera are added to provide comfort. Capcom mentions that their purpose was not to copy the original game but to convey the atmosphere. That’s why new features and twists are only slightly different.
This year seems to please us with many extraordinary games, but it’s impossible to make 100% predictions. This review is based on the factual success of named series and a bit of sincere hope. I wish us to have all expectations fulfilled!
